Maintenance
The Maintenance module allows you to register and track maintenance performed on fixed assets, controlling costs and enabling capitalization of amounts as new assets.
Maintenance List
The main screen displays a grid with the key information:
- Type (Corrective / Preventive)
- Status (In Progress / Completed / Canceled)
- Linked asset (Asset Number – Incorporation – Description)
- Responsible
- Start Date
- End Date
- Total Cost
Filter and Search
Use the search field to filter by grid columns.
Row Actions
Click the row action button to edit, view or delete the record. When the maintenance has costs of type Incorporation, the Capitalize button becomes available to start the capitalization wizard.
Register Maintenance
- Click the + button (new)
- Fill in the general data:
- Type — Corrective or Preventive
- Status — In Progress, Completed or Canceled
- Responsible — Name of the person responsible for the maintenance
- Asset — Search and select the linked asset (Asset Number – Incorporation – Description)
- Description — Detailed description of the maintenance
- Start Date — Maintenance start date
- End Date — Closing date (optional)
- Total Cost — Automatically calculated from cost items
- Click Save
Edit Maintenance
- In the list, click on the desired maintenance
- Change the necessary fields
- Click Save
Maintenance Costs
After saving the maintenance, the Costs section is displayed in the form. Click + to add cost items:

The maintenance Total Cost is automatically updated as items are added or removed.
Items with cost type Incorporation can be capitalized as new fixed assets through the Capitalization Wizard.
Capitalize Maintenance
Capitalization converts Incorporation costs into new fixed assets. The process is guided by a step-by-step wizard:
Step 1 — Asset Data
For each Incorporation type cost item, fill in the new asset data:
- Asset Number — Asset code
- Incorporation — Asset incorporation
- Serial Number — Serial number (optional)
- Description — Short description
- Full Description — Full description (optional)
- Business Unit — Unit the asset belongs to
- Location — Asset location
- Cost Center — Cost center
- Asset Category — Accounting category
- Account — Accounting account
- Acquisition Value — Automatically filled with the item cost
- Annual Dep. Rate — Annual depreciation rate
- Residual Value — Residual value at end of useful life
Step 2 — Confirmation
Review the summary of assets to be created and confirm the capitalization.
Upon confirmation, the new assets are created with the maintenance start date as the acquisition date.
